Larry Weppler presented the budget for HOST. 160 acres have been preserved including the most recent 43 acres along James Street. There has been analysis of properties with 10+ acres and HOST believes there will be additional properties meeting criteria of:
- Viewscape, visibility to public and gateway
- Linkages to other preserved properties
- Water resource protection value
- Other environmental resource protection
- Public access, equestrian trails, hiking
- Funding options and availability of funds
- Likelihood of development
The prospect of purchasing Lot 4.03 adjacent to the recently acquired 4.02 property was discussed. This included management of the two lots as one property with regard to mowing. It was proposed that both the Township and HOST would have one year’s notice to dissolve the maintenance agreement.
