The Environmental Commission will host a lecture by lecture and discussion with Dr. Douglas Tallamy, Professor and Chair of the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware. Please join us on Wednesday, November 20th at Christ the King Church. The talk will start at 7:30pm and be followed by light refreshments.
Dr. Tallamy is a well-known and highly sought-after speaker and the author of a number of books, including Nature’s Best Hope: A New Approach to Conservation That Starts in Your Yard and Bringing Nature Home: How You Can Sustain Wildlife with Native Plants. Chief among his research goals is to better understand the many ways insects interact with plants and how such interactions determine the diversity of animal communities and form the basis for the foodweb that sustains all life.
