Looking forward to the Semiquicecentennial? That is, the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and the signing of the Declaration of Independence?? We are! We have partnered with the Kemmerer Library to present a number of events celebrating the 250th Anniversary. We will begin in December with a few exhibits from the Harding Township Historical Society Archive to be displayed at the library.
Our Kickoff event will be on February 9th, 2026, when we will host Joel Farkas, a noted historian. He will speak to us about “George Washington, New Jersey and the Revolutionary War”.
A question: Are you interested in history, do you like living in this wonderful community, do you want your children to learn the story of the place they live?? We are fortunate to have so many new residents with children! The Historical Society would like to encourage you to broaden your interest in history and your community by joining our Board. We are in need of vibrant new members! We need members who have skills that reflect the 21st century. We need new ideas to promote our history. We are the keepers of Harding’s history and are looking for new and exciting ways to present it to the public. Come join us!
