Several years ago, Marshall Watson, a decorator with a global client base, came to speak to the New Vernon Garden Club, after the release of his first book. He was a huge hit! He has just released his second book, Defining Elegance, and has agreed to come and see us again! A graduate of Stanford, Watson established his eponymous interior design house in 1986. His work has appeared in several publications, including Architectural Digest, Veranda, Traditional Home and House Beautiful. In addition to his success in that sphere, he is also a “Gold Star Speaker” for the Garden Club of America and is on the board of the Garden Conservancy. He belongs to the Garden Club of East Hampton, where his garden is being documented for the archives of the Smithsonian! He is also part of a group there that is revitalizing a public garden dedicated to the study of 18th century American horticulture. We are so happy to have him again!
