From the Mayor: Support local businesses

From Mayor Chris Yates:

Dear Harding Resident,

We thank you for your great cooperation in our efforts to promote social distancing and self-quarantines. These actions will go a long way toward keep the Harding community safe.

As you may know the governor has ordered all restaurants to cease offering seating, allowing them to operate only with takeout or delivery. This is exceptionally challenging for our friends who operate restaurants and I’d like to make you aware of the dining options in Harding and encourage you to support these businesses which are part of our Harding Family.

The Country Fox Cafe, located next to the US Post Office on Village Road, is offering curbside takeout during their normal business hours. You can call your order in ahead of time and they will deliver your food directly to your car door. The Country Fox is offering a 10% discount for all takeout orders. If you don’t feel like going out for your food but would like to support the small business, gift cards are available for future use. Payment may be made by credit or debit card. The phone number is 973-984-2110.

The Minuteman Smokehouse and Grill, located at 990 Mt. Kemble avenue, offers both curbside takeout and home delivery. The Minuteman is rated among the top barbeque restaurants in the state. You can place your order online at or by phone at 973-425-9798 and pay by credit or debit card.

The Green Village Deli, a local landmark at 536 Green Village Road, offers takeout. Phone ahead and place your order. The number is 973-377-1709.

Dominick’s Pizza, 906 Mt. Kemble Avenue, offers takeout and delivery from their delicious menu. You can phone your order in at 908-630-0050.

The Market Taverne at 995 Mt. Kemble Avenue has temporarily closed. Please check with them to see what plans they might have during this time. We eagerly await their reopening.

Restaurants are allowed to continue operating with their normal business hours so check with them to see what their hours during this time are.

Please support our local businesses.
