Kemmerer Library Harding Township is an association non-profit library, incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to the Harding community. The mission of the Kemmerer Library is to improve and enrich the lives of our users through informational, educational, and recreational programs and services. The library welcomes all members of the community and offers an inviting space, well-organized and up-to-date collections, friendly professional service and well-trained staff and volunteers who are committed to the library. The Board of Trustees of the Kemmerer Library supports this mission. The Board is actively seeking new members. In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities of a board member, board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the library. Board members create library policies that promote the mission, assess and authorize capital improvements, determine the library’s operating budget, engage in fundraising, respond to community input, and partner with the library director who oversees staff and the implementation of library policies.
