Please join HLT for their Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 11th at the New Vernon Fire House. Dessert and wine will be served at 6:30 PM followed by the business meeting and guest speaker at 7:00 PM. HLT is pleased to announce this year’s guest speaker will be John Parke, Stewardship Project Director – North Jersey Region for NJ Audubon. He will give a presentation that encourages residents and property owners, regardless of property size, to provide for the stewardship of their property to help preserve our diminishing plant and wildlife species. With the right plants and in just a few easy steps, you can turn your backyard, balcony, or patch of grass into a habitat for wildlife!
For many years, New Jersey Audubon has promoted the development and maintenance of backyard habitats. Their current educational efforts focus not only on individual yards, but also on other properties such as schoolyards, farms and businesses where humans and wildlife may coexist. This presentation will provide information that has been gathered by naturalists, researchers, and backyard habitat enthusiasts. We hope that you will find this information useful as you work to create and maintain your property or properties entrusted to you – both for your enjoyment and for the benefit of wildlife!
In addition, Celebrate Harding 2018 photo contest participant photos will be on display. Come and see what makes Harding so special! Please R.S.V.P to the Annual Meeting by calling 973-267-2515.
