Kicking off this year’s Fire Prevention week, the Green Village Fire Department and Auxiliary are hosting an open house. Firefighters will be on hand to provide fire safety tips for the young and old as well as demonstrate various firefighting techniques. All are invited to explore the fire trucks, try on real fire gear, spray the fire hose and enjoy some hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream. The festivities are from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and the activities are on-going. We hope that members of the community will join us for this free, kid-friendly event. This event will be held rain or shine.
