Harding To Hold Hearing on Glen Alpin Diversion Application

The Township of Harding and the Harding Land Trust shall be filing a request with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, proposing to dispose of approximately 9.57 acres of the Historic Glen Alpin property known as Block 34, Lot 1, in the Township of Harding, County of Morris with a street address of 685 Mt. Kemble Avenue. The diversion/disposal request being made to the Green Acres Program shall be to sell the entire property while maintaining a conservation easement in the front yard portion of the property as well as maintaining historic preservation restrictions that shall run in perpetuity on the historic structure. As compensation for the proposed disposal, Harding Township proposes to acquire 2 to 4 times the acreage of the disposed land as a replacement within Harding Township. Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-26.8(c) 1 a hearing to obtain public comment on this request will be held at Kirby Municipal Building, 21 Blue Mill Road, New Vernon, NJ on July 10th 2017 at 7:30pm.
